What Is FLASH?

FLASH vs FULL scans

The Wire operates in two scanning modes:

FULL scans run automatically on a scheduled cadence (every 8 hours). They perform a comprehensive sweep across all monitored sources, building a complete intelligence picture. FULL scans are cached and delivered instantly to all users — you never wait for one to complete.

FLASH scans are triggered on-demand by Pro users. A FLASH scan runs immediately against live sources using a streaming AI model. Results appear in real time as the analysis progresses, rather than being delivered as a completed report.

When to use FLASH

FLASH is most valuable when the market is reacting to something that happened after the last scheduled scan. A major exchange hack, a surprise regulatory announcement, or a sudden price move — these are FLASH moments. You want the freshest possible read, and you want it now.

How FLASH works

When you trigger a FLASH scan:

  1. The Wire hits live sources immediately — no cache, no delay
  2. AI analysis streams in real time as sources are processed
  3. Results include the same structure as FULL scans: categories, signals, trust scores, and convergence detection
  4. The FLASH result does not replace the scheduled FULL scan — both coexist

Availability

FLASH is a Pro-only feature. Free users see the most recent cached FULL scan.
